What’s a Kilowatt?

A kilowatt is a measurement of power that an appliance uses. For electric heaters, it’s the amount of electricity it uses and in the case of gas, it’s the volume of gas it burns. 

Technically this is called ‘heat input’ as it relates to the amount of gas going into the burner, but the more gas in, the greater the heat output.
